Life math

His smile
Adds to warm hearth
Her frown
Reminder; a promise forgotten!
Their love but
Evens out the odds

Some dull grays,
Plus bright rays
Equals a colourful rainbow

Credit the gain
Debit the pain
In life eventually
The accounts will tally
