She was hurt and cried bitterly. It was a mistake, he
repeated. It was deliberate, she seemed to say. He was remorseful but knew what
to do.
He put his arms tenderly around her and kissed where it hurt her. Tears
dried up magically, as she forgave her sibling at that instant of brotherly
love.
